Them Thangs!

So welcome to a cold Monday morning, ready for the week peeps?? Well here I sit warming up to the grind and I'm feeling pretty good, except for one thing.....Them Thangs, Them Thangs, Them Thangs.... Truly a sad moment for me if not the entire world happened a few days ago. I'm not sure if you ever heard of or visited the site 'Them Thangs' but it basically was a blog that an individual ran that posted the most obscure, pop, sexy, ugly, crazy, and wonderful images ever! I mean this site had some of the most stunning imagery on it, from ninja turtles, to The Lost Boys, Wu-Tang Clan, The Ku Klux Klan, Lil Wayne with Miley Cyrus,Sonic Youth, Hells angels, and the list goes on and on, I never, I repeat NEVER found the end of this website in the few months i visited it (on a daily basis). Well folks the unimaginable has happened, the author of the site had to take it down due to bandwidth consumption :( Viewing this site every morning was my ritual to get the creative juices running and now I am lost, please check out the site landing page 'Them Thangs' to see some details and make a donation, trust me these are the kind of sites that make the world a better place.

So i get a lot of crap from my friends because i like to come home after a long day of looking at playful pixels and look at a piece of paper with, permanent, nonadjustable, reliable, you can't do s#!t about it ink on it. I love to read, keeps the mind sharp, passes the time and is a land of wonder and amazement....Anyways even you, yes you--->[inset name here] need to open a book, crack a book, for god sakes man, burn one that would make me happier than you denying yourself such a gift as print! Now first [#1] question...What to read? Well after a warm up of a little FaceBook posts, maybe try:

Kurt Vonegut~Slaughter House 5....Seriously like 300 pages maybe... light yet deep, awesome read!

George Orwell~1984....Short expresive book, will que you on the cycler aspects of politics and exiestence.

Feeling Daring?? Try:

J.D. Salinger~Franny and Zooey...It WILL leave your head spinning a little but who says thats a bad thing.

Chuck Palahniuk- Survivor..This book is one of the best of all time [FYI he wrote a little book called Fight Club that became a smash movie], think religion, entertainment, vanity, suicide. You're covered!

But for my unfortunate friends with frail minds here are a few books you can warm up with, take a jog down the hall with, climb two stairs at a time with instead of one step, two step three...

Google Analytics launches asynchronous tracking

Google Analytics now provides a new Asynchronous Tracking Code snippet as an alternate way to track your website!

Think of the asynchronous tracking code snippet as a script that uses a "separate lane" to handle part of the processing of your webpage. As the number of cars (or in this case, scripts on your webpage) increases, the asynchronous tracker uses this lane to reduce webpage load time. Websites that use many scripts or rely on rich media content will especially benefit from this new method, but even lightweight sites will see improvements.

The new tracking snippet offers the following benefits:

* Faster tracking code load times for your web pages due to improved browser execution
* Enhanced data collection and accuracy
* Elimination of tracking errors from dependencies when the JavaScript hasn't fully loaded

The asynchronous tracking code is now in Beta and available to all Google Analytics users. Using the new tracking code is optional: your existing Google Analytics code will continue to work as-is. But if you want to improve your webpage load times and fine-tune the accuracy of your Analytics data, then we think you'll love this new option.

So a long day of work, a long week, and its only Tuesday!! These are those moments that I ask myself WHY~

Why do I wake up at 6:30am?
Why do I sit in front of a computer for 8-9 hours?
Why am i constantly dreaming of digital execution?

Well whats the answer? Seems like if one can find the answer then one can find the solution, Right? Well not exactly cause I know the answer, its cause i want more, i want the new car, I want the big TV, I want that new video game. I want! I Want I WANT!! So maybe this is the problem not the solution?!? Maybe all along the root of my problem has been its solution?!? Anyways enough musing here's a interesting read about living to live not living to get. I really enjoy Zen material, but its like a super hot airbrushed model, looks great on paper but not so much.....

What the web COULD look like without Net Neutrality

I have been a bit weary of this whole net neutrality issue and have posted a few things on it, admittedly I know little information about the specifics. The one biggest thing I hear about the topic is that WITHOUT it ISP's could potentially charge arbitrary amounts for there services. This does sound BAD! Here is a graphical representation of what people think a world without net neutrality would look like.

I'll have to read into this more, until then....
